At Teddy Bear Day Care, we believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and engaging place to grow, learn, and play.
Proudly serving families for over 50 years, we operate six convenient locations throughout Chicago’s Southwest neighborhoods, offering high-quality programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years — including Infant & Toddler Care (Little Bear), Pre-Kindergarten, Head Start, and our Big Bear Day Camp. Our caring, qualified staff serve more than 500 children each year, providing hands-on learning experiences, outdoor play areas, and nutritious meals — from hot lunches to healthy snacks.
We are DCFS licensed, with Pre-K and Kindergarten programs accredited by the State of Illinois, and we’re honored to partner with Head Start and El Valor to further support our community’s children and families.

Our ProgramsWe have six convenient locations on Chicago’s Southwest side. Our main center is on 51st and California, with other locations at Pulaski, at Columbus Ave. and at 87th St.
Our LocationsWe serve nutritious hot meals and snacks at all of our locations! Some of the menu items we serve include: meatballs, mixed veggies, tacos, graham crackers and milk, Chex mix & juice and more!
